HOW IT ALL BEGAN
In 2010, Gina Hollingsworth was working at Sony/ATV Music Publishing in Nashville when she started taking home leftover fruit from the office at the end of the week and using it to create pies, muffins, and other desserts. Come Monday, she would bring the sweet treats to the office. After a while, people started to complain that she was such a good cook that their clothes were getting too tight.
That got Gina thinking, “What in the world can I do with all these apples?” That was when Gina started turning the fruit into gourmet spreads, right in her kitchen.
And that simple thought sparked a business idea, and, on a whim, Gina enrolled as a vendor at a local holiday market where her gourmet apple spread proved to be very popular. Hoping to sell 20 jars, she was ecstatic when more than 500 were sold!
All the proceeds were donated to local charities in her community. A year later, she founded Southern Okie (which later became known as Gina's Southern Style) where she served as President and oversaw all the marketing aspects of her gourmet spread business.
THE EVOLUTION OF THE BRAND
Since then, Gina has been able to expand her product line to include a total of eight delectable flavors – Pumpkin, Peach, Pear, Strawberry, Blueberry, Cherry, Pepper Jelly and the original, Apple.
All of Gina’s Gourmet, Natural Fruit Spreads are made with simple, all-natural ingredients, and all are certified OU Kosher and non-GMO.
In 2019, with a vision of growing her product line, Gina changed the brand name to Gina’s Gourmet. The new brand offers the same delicious, all-natural products and a growing line of fruits spreads.
All products are handcrafted in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and are now sold in more than 400 stores and gourmet shops around the country.

Born and raised in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Gina (Gamble) Hollingsworth left home when she was 18 for the city of her dreams, Nashville, Tennessee.
Pursuing a singing career was Gina’s first aspiration, but sometimes things have a way of working out for the best. When she was 15, Gina recorded a country album under a label that she launched, Shooting Star Records. The summer of 1987, Gina and her mom drove from town-to-town dropping off her records at local radio stations. She ended up charting on the Independent Country Charts with her first two singles, “Everybody Wants Love” and “Hard Knocks.”
Gina attended Belmont University, where she pursued her education at their internationally acclaimed Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business. She began working on prestigious Music Row and eventually became Executive Assistant to the President and CEO of Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Troy Tomlinson. Little did she know, this new path would lead her to her next career as an entrepreneur and founder of Gina’s Gourmet!
